Concrete Transit Experimental Documentary
When I cut this documentary in Avid Media Composer, the goal was to create an uneasy feeling within the viewers as they watched my film. I wanted to show the world through a person's eyes who is suffering from "Anthropophobia". (A mental illness characterized by a general fear of people and of human contact) This documentary features no spoken
Juxtaposition was a huge element when it came to editing this piece. By juxtaposing images next to one another, the viewer is free to create his or her own emotional reactions to the clips. Slow motion editing techniques were also used to aid in telling this story.
I also experimented with long cuts that seem to almost burn the creepy images into the viewers minds.
