This is a header design with portrait for the company Sauer & Troger, a table tennis company from Germany, that specializes in Pips out, push block and chopping styles. This was designed to be used as their Facebook cover photo and for other purposes. The portrait is of the owner Sebastian Sauer, a stand up gentleman, and fantastic ping pong player.
On the Portrait drawing I initially drew the graphic elements, but they weren't quite as clean as I liked, so after scanning the drawing, I deleted them and redrew them in Illustrator. The "sickle" looking element that runs across the bottom of the header is the same design that is included on all of the labels on their rubber coverings.
In my opinion they make some of the best blades (the wooden portion of the racket, or paddle) for the Pushblock style of playing (which I play) that I have tried. I highly recommend their products!
