The project
I was commissioned by the Roundhouse to work on the annual report for their global network Call to Create. At the time, the Roundhouse had already commissioned an illustration by Brazilian artist Zansky de Zaster, a piece they were keen to use on all Call to Create platforms, including this report. I love Zansky's work so it was great to use his illustration on the cover and extract the colour palette as a reference for all graphics throughout the brochure.
The idea was that the graphics inside the report shouldn’t necessarily mimic the style of the cover - ideally, the overall design should be independent but at the same time resonate the cover throughout the booklet. Therefore we decided to make use of the illustration’s colour palette but applying geometric shapes and infographics (a style decision that could be adopted in future reports featuring new illustrations).
