My first short film. Written by Diarmid Scrimshaw of Inflammable Films and designed, art directed and directed by me. Characters and elements were all designed in Photoshop then handmade in card stock and acetate. Skillfully brought to life and animated thanks to the brilliant puppeteer Raven Kaliana.
We shot all elements in a one day live action shoot, including tissue paper for the background colours, then composited everything together in Flame. The whole film sounds amazing thanks to Greg Marshall at Spool. Reflection was selected for screening at the California International Shorts Festival 2011 (CISF), Los Angeles, Dixie Film Festival 2011, Athens, GA, Bristol Festival of Puppetry, UK and featured on the BBC Film Network for new filmmakers.
