The concept for Oompa Shakes came from my desire to create a spoof of some sort for the an application assignment for Miami Ad School. I chose to spoof the three course meal gum from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, giving myself the challenge of not straying too far from the original brand - and at the same time keeping my product from being an imitation of any sort. As you can see, the bottle takes the shape of an Oompa Loompa, as well as the logo being in the original Willy Wonka typeface. In spoofing the gum, I wanted to target the new generation of millennials that are just discovering the wonders of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so the flavors go according to what preteens/teens would enjoy 'eating,' and they keep in mind the shock value impact of a fictional concept brought to life.
