Being becoming is an (ongoing) portrait series of my sister, who is fourteen years younger than me. I am fascinated by the fact that she is in a state in between youth and adulthood, in a state of constantly 'being becoming' someone else. A personality that is redefining itself still. From year to year I try to capture her very personal process of growing up. Also, the series is also a reflection on my own childhood. Some people say she looks like me when I was her age and I can see myself and my own search for identity in her.
