This double half-fold guide opens with instructions for planting a young tree. 

The inside of the guide features information about how best to care for a young tree, with emphasis on questions LEAF is frequently asked by clients.

I started the redesign process by reviewing the old guide, then coordinated with LEAF's head arborist to fine tune the information we wanted to present. The old guide was not very focused, and contained a lot of extraneous information, so trimming that down was the first step.

I explored layouts and methods of delivering our information in a series of sketches, a sampling of which are reproduced here. 

The first stage of designed proofs, which we tested out on staff before refining.
