Elephander the Great (男人大笨象)

This is the second piece that I would like to include in my unofficial Humanimal series.

The idea behind this piece revolves around the word play on the title.

The English title "Elephander the Great" is based on Alexander the Great, which is somewhat a well-known male historical figure. While the Chinese title "男人大笨象" (Elephant Male, not to be confused with male elephant or elephant man) is a word play of a popular Chinese phrase 男人大阵仗 which brings the meaning "big man ego".

Based on both of these title, I visualised it being a hipster with elephant head. Hipster as the more recent male trend when this artwork was produced that emphasised on manly appearance and pride (nothing against that. I like the trend, really.) and the elephant head as a direct representation.
