Swigen Electric Kettle | Form Studies

S W I G E N
The electric kettle of the future.

Essentially, a re-imagined Bajaj electric kettle as a part of our form studies course.

Objective:
To learn to develop an aesthetically appealing form by exploring various cross sections of everyday products.

I chose the Bajaj electric kettle as a starting point, a very well designed, well thought-out product with an aim to fit it into the modern kitchen.
The resulting solution was a sleek-silhouetted kettle, with smooth yet sharp lines, and an LED indicator which provides a great accent to the overall design. The cross-section around which this design was developed was that of a water droplet.
