There are shapes and letters around us that we may not see. This project was meant to help open our eyes to the world around us and see the "hidden" design that surrounds us each and everyday. It started for me with searching for shapes in the small area around my house and then it went to my children's toys that are often left laying around the house in many random positions. Those proved to be a bit difficult to keep as I place a background behind them or moved them to a different location so that there was better lighting for me to capture the letter.
My final poster desin
Once we had found and photographed our 26 letters it was time to start designing a poster. Easy right? Well I guess that depends on the person. The first few designs had lots of room for improvement and that is what I did, I improved on spacing, typography and background color options. After I came up with some designs that I was okay with I asked for opinions from those that I interact with on a daily basis as well as those that are in my class. With their feed back I was able to  make some more improvements which lead to this design which emphasizes the alphabet and allows it to be the most important part of the poster. Then the name of the alphabet and then my name as the designer. The following are some mock-up of where a poster like the one I created might be found.
Poster mock-up at a bus station.
Poster mock-up on a train station wall.
In most big cities you can often find public transportation, whether it be in the form of buses or trains. Both areas provide a great place to place posters in one shape or size.
Poster mock-up of a road side sign.
While these road side signs are not found as often as a sign at a bus or train stop they can still be found in shopping center or other location where there is a lot of foot traffic.
