Inspired by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman’s giant floating “Rubber Duck” sculpture & the 19th century Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai’s piece “The Wave”, I imagined a lost rubber ducky afloat in a graphic sea. This tryptic tells his story as he travels the open water on a blustery day, dodges a giant wave during a storm, and finally calmly floats over rolling waves as the sun comes out. These illustrations were done completely on an iPad Pro with Pencil and the ArtRage App.
