I knew I wanted to do a poem by Richard Siken this week, I just didn't know which one; I mostly chose Visible World for its short length because I didn't want to get bogged down by one of his longer pieces. (Also this is a gorgeous poem!)

I didn't rigidly follow the steps of the design process this week because I was too eager to get to the sketching part, as you can probably tell! I went with Garamond for my font because it's commonly used in the contexts of literature and publishing, and I wanted there to be a stark effect of text on the page, which is why I put white text on a black background.
