Fall Cover Art
This is the cover art for a song I put out in September. The song itself has a very happy, almost tropical feel to it. Because of that the photography aspect of the art is a tropical palm branch. What really makes this piece is the typography, logo, and effects used on them. I usually add a drop shadow to text and logos to provide visual separation between itself and the background. For this one I flipped it around and made the background in some ways the foreground. Using a "reverse shadow" I made it appear as if the text and Electric Warehouse logo are behind the photo, or as if I cut the text and logo out of the picture then elevated the picture (I'm sure there's a more technical term for this effect though). The text based logo sits at the bottom using a small, close range drop shadow to contrast the 2 itself with the background since they are both very light.
