With the increased number of foreigners settling down in Singapore and the convenience of accessing of foreign influences in this digital age, local culture especially the Chinese is slowly losing its appeal to the younger generation. This results in the younger Chinese Singaporeans not knowing their own culture and losing touch with their heritageʼs roots. Hence using popular culture as a parody for folklores, religious fables and festivals through character design to increase the target audience’s interest and knowledge for Singapore Chinese festivals culture.
