Du-pont Corian Workshop- 2 Days
We had to explore the properties of Corian with limited material. The sheet dimensions given to me were 5'0" x 1'0". As there was limitation of MDF also, the moulds were make-shift.
The sheet was first put under 650 degrees heat for it to be able to bend onto the mould and clamped till cooled.
This is a seating for one person.
Here the bending property of the material was used. A black strip of corian was inlayed into the seating thus the seamless property was also explored.
One metal rod was bent twice and welded to a metal strip which was then screwed from the bottom of the seating to explore metal to corian joinery.
