Aquascape Project - MA Digital Effects 16/17

Aquascape project was the very first assignment on MA Digital Effects course at Bournemouth University to introduce us to tools we'll be using throughout this course. The aim of this coursework was to create cinematic, persuasive, photo-real, atmospheric underwater scene. The shot had to contain locked-off camera filmed background plate, digital artefact emitting light and convincing photo real underwater composite. In addition, practical particle effects have been filmed to support the composition.
Original backplate as shot on location (Charles Trent Ltd. in Poole)
NUKE node view showing the composite structure.
Practical special effects as filmed in the studio. Variety of bubbles and dust effects had been filmed and later composited into the volumetric pass.
Dummy geometry as seen from the camera.
Node graph showing SOPs used to model the guitar.
