Diyas (earthen clay lamps used generally for lighting and decoration in Indian households) are usually sold on
road sides in plastic bags.
Most pieces break even before reaching the destination of the shop and undergo further damage after sold
to the customer due to poor packaging. We saw an opportunity and focused our
package on transport and storage of the diyas.
Diyas are kept all around houses enlivening spirits when they are lit and so we designed the package such that it reflects the diyas in their contextual environment.

Templates
The templates were made for six diyas on either side. The theme of the graphics were tessellations pertaining to those found in royal Indian homes.
