Popshop Boise Storefront (2016)

Boise State Graphic Design Department, Graphic Design 3, December 2016
For my Graphic Design 3 class, my whole class banded together to organize a pop shop in Boise, Idaho. With our professor, we created all of the products, the brand and logo, advertising, social media, and also the design of the store itself. We had our store open for a weekend from December 1–4 in 2016. Before then, we opened a booth at a local Boise market called Wintry Market and we also had an Etsy store and website to sell online. Our products varied from t-shirts and prints to pillows, hats, lip balm, and candles.

It was one of the most intense and collaborative projects I have participated in. However, it has been one of the most useful things I have done in a class. I learned how to collaborate with others to create a unified product, and I believe that I will carry that lesson through the rest of my career as a graphic designer.

All of the photos below are of our storefront located at 280 N 8th St. in downtown Boise, downstairs in the Idaho Building. All photos shown were taken by me.

Our website can be found here.

This was our rules and guidelines for our brand. We used the Popshop on 8th logo for our last storefront. For all advertising materials and for the website, we used typefaces Eczar and Open Sans.
