Building for America’s Bravest helps construct Smart Homes for catastrophically injured veterans. GMC wanted to help. We created a movement that generated 83 million social impressions and raised awareness to enhance the lives of our nation's bravest heroes.

IDEA: Over 200 severely injured veterans are on a waiting list to receive Smart Homes that will transform their lives. Enlist to Unlist them.
The "house hands" social enlistment encouraged GMC fans, followers, employees, dealers and partners to upload an image of themselves making the American Sign Language symbol for the word “house” on their social media accounts using the #enlistme hashtag. Each smart home costs $500,000 to build so we recruited celebrities, athletes, and community influencers to expand the impact. They responded.

83,000,000 TOTAL IMPRESSIONS

To make a profound statement, we kicked off the social "enlistment" on Veteran's Day - November 11, 2015. It generated more participation than we ever imagined, and the #enlistme hashtag began trending immediately.

Over 60,000 signatures and counting...We launched several on-site events asking people to "enlist" by signing their name along with words of support for the cause. "Enlisters" receive a set of dogtags. Our goal for 2016 is to break the world record for signatures for Veterans. Stay tuned.
