Olive is a sleepy little owl, and a great project for beginner knitters. This pattern uses a combination of a kfb increase plus the ssk and k2tog decreases to shape the body.  Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, Olive is knitted in acrylic aran yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

A pair of 4mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 6)

Stylecraft Special Aran; aran/worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/196m skein in each colour will be more than sufficient.

One size only - 14cm tall.

For beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
