Repressed Memories

Repressed Memories
There is a constant struggle between the memory and not wanting to remember.

A series of photographs exploring the idea of repressed memories, the act of not wanting to remember an occurrence. We don't want to delve back into these memories, but the fact is that they will always be present no matter how hard you try to forget, and will arise sooner or later.

The series is shown in an ambiguous nature, representing our mind's ability to suppress these thoughts. These blurred images are projected on to various surfaces, creating distortion and a sense of depth. Although these surfaces are subtle, they play a significant role in which it acts as a barrier between the memory and person.
