Result of a one week Typography workshop with Phillipe Karer, a Swiss Graphic designer. I chose to imagine a name tag for the probe "Solar probe one". This probe will be sent near the sun to study it's activity in 2017-2018.
I produced the above lettering based on Sci-fi and space conquest logos. This typeface is a stencil typeface. The typography was then transferred on copper plates using heat to create an iridescent aspect, referring to the heat solar probe one will have to face.
