General information
Concordia’s project is based on the American Monsters project as seen on kickstarter. However they are searching for a little twist. We are free to make changes to the general concept, as long as we redesign the monsters made by children. The ultimate goal is to produce a user story that fits within the principles of Art & Technology. The user story consists of five different mediums.
Concordia likes to achieve the following goals, the children have to shake up their admiration, stimulating creativity, get in touch with the art and a little bit future orientation. The last one was a bit sceptical, but they want to learn the children about what they could do in the future. Which kind of jobs you’ll need to achieve this.
The school that is cooperating with Concordia on this project is ‘t Zeggelt in Enschede.
The drawings
Concordia invited a group of children who drew a massive amount crazy looking monsters. Those children are between the age of 8 and 10. The monsters are the children creative thoughts, which we (the Art & Technology students) will transform in visually attractive graphics or something totally different.
In the coming weeks, students get the opportunity to talk with the involved children about their creations and the meanings behind them. Which makes it a bit easier for us to develop a backstory.

Every monster is different. Some are more interesting than others. It’s important that we redesign and use them all. It would be very sad if one of the children’s monster is left out.
The monsters drawn by the Art & Technology groups have to be recognisable and still look like the original drawings.

End results
At the end of this semester, our group have to submit a portfolio video in which we present our user story and products. We have to show all the five used mediums in the video
With the team we decided to work with scrum during this project. We think that scrum is the best for this project, because it is a creative project. For scrum we are going to use Trello, because we then we always have the board available. When you work with post its, you have to carry the board all the time!
