the final product vs. my first initial sketches

I was assigned an event that's based in Michigan.  Swim to the Moon, is an open water swim competition based in Gregory, MI.  This specific event has many elements that can be juxtaposed, such as swimming and space, distance and the moon, even the movement of the body with light speed.  While juxtaposing distance, movement, and space together i was able to manipulate the landscape to appear as water, the body to appear as its swimming at light speed and so on.
