36 Hours in Florence | Intro to Typography | May 2016

The design uses a four column grid for flexibility in terms of layout, and the columns were not too wide for a magazine article. The color scheme is derived from the Florentine architecture in the images curated during research. The fonts chosen exhibit a cultured quality, a quality of the city itself. The chosen images feature famous sights of the city in addition to showing the cozy shops to visit. Patterns in the margins are derived from architectural details from the Florentine Cathedral to reinforce location.
