DIGITAL SOLID MODELLING
The objective of this project was to reproduce an existing design/product to understand its form, parts, assembly techniques and materials. The desired model was to be designed using Solidworks and the model is a 1:1 to scale of the actual pool table. The parts are designed to fit the manufacturing standards.
The 247 Billiards Table
The 247 pool table is manufactured by Steininger company, one of the leading metal working companies in Austria along with Porsche Design studio. The brand "247" stands for timeless and elegant design at any time – piece by piece.

Exclusivity, luxury and personality are reflected in the 247 pool table. It's sleek and visionary design is in contrast to the bulky structure of common billiard tables. The clear and spheric geometry follows the Porsche-Design-Studio-Principles of shape and function and defines a new aesthetic standard in billiards. This allows an uncompromised game play.
Features
Built with a deliberate restriction on quantity and type of materials and considering the highest quality standard it follows the Porsche-Philosophy: A formally coherent product doesn’t need any embellishment. For production, only high-quality materials such as stainless steel covered with a high-tech solid surface material named Corian® are used. The 247 – created for people who demand the very best in aesthetics and function.
