Private Counsellor, Karen Parkin, needed a consistent and professional branding for both print and web. I worked with my client to distinguish the exact deliverables she wanted (website, business card, Appointment card and letter heads) that were appropriate and reflected her counselling service.
Her logo emblem is of a willow tree branch. This links to the location of her counselling office, which is in a summer house under a willow tree. I researched into the symbolism and representations of the willow tree. Words such as healing, balance and stability seemed to be associated with the tree which are very fitting to my client’s counselling service.
The website and other branding materials are kept very simple, using white space, grid systems and type hierarchy to organise information effectively.
