For My friend's birthday I made him into Han Solo, and his wife into Princess Leia. They are joined by my boyfriend as Luke Skywalker (he is a twin to a brunette sister!). I used an old sepia toned photo.  I turned it to a black and white because I liked it better than the original. I carved out the faced and rebuilt a facial shape, partially from the old photo and partially from the added faces. I added some noise to try and match the grain of the photo, and blurred the images together.
