YCN Think! - Student Awards 2016/17
These were creations for the YCN Student Awards Competition 2016-17, they were for THINK! and their brief for a new campaign to be aimed at young male drivers who are overrepresented in statistics. The campaign had to show that 'one drink was better than having two' therefore the thinking behind my designs were as follows:

Most lads and young adults prefer the drinking environment of the pub on the majority of occasions whereas others are perhaps more sensible and prefer a relaxed approach in their home setting. This is why I chose to base the PR content through the juxtaposition of two surfaces - a pub bar top and a dining room table. Most of the target audience would perhaps regard one as a priority opposed to the other thus catering for everyone in the THINK! demographic.

I also believe that learning from the workshop task of putting visuals to the verbal statements i.e. the World's Powerful Hoover paid off and my campaign work also showed how having just one pint is more beneficial than two for example; the Next Morning side of the poster shows the optimism for the future rather than just showing a plain pub top which wouldn't sell the message as well. Whereas by having a split screen, it shows effects just as well by having the worth of abandoning more than one pint on a night out.

This campaign was going to run as a series of posters in magazines, like the situation below and based on the time of year i.e. Mothers Day or Christmas, the Next Morning half would be themed to that occasion. It is understandable that occasions such as Birthdays or Getting a new job don't happen every single day however, it proves that sometimes things of a similar nature will happen and the probability of a good life event happening is very likely to the audience.
