"Röllör Dörby" - tshirt for roller derby fans

Design for a group of British roller derby fans travelling to Malmö, Sweden for a roller derby tournament.

Concept: IKEA-style instructions. "From Britain, by plane, to Sweden, to watch roller derby and go to the sauna" summed up in pictograms.

I aped the IKEA product name font and spelt 'roller derby' in a mock IKEA product manner (seasoned with extra umlauts, of course). I drew a roller-skating version of their Instruction Guy, and capped it all off at the bottom with an IKEA-spoof logo and description.
Shirts back from the printers. Flatpack Blue on Royal Yellow, and Royal Yellow on Flatpack Blue. Each colourway had only one plate, but each was different so that the Swedish flags appeared the right colours instead of inverted.
Some of the many happy shirt-wearers. Sold 200+, with some being traded as collectibles at the event!
A picture that had to happen.... thanks to Korky for sending me this!
