The project began with the study of  a product with one or more mechanisms. The
product was sketched out in detail and the mechanisms understood.

The ideation phase 
incorporated evolution of the product ideas.
The Product chosen was a 
Perfume Bottle.

Inspired by the circular screw on mechanism present in the head of the bottle, a circular lamp with two built in shades was designed.

This design evolved into a Bedside table with a drawer and a pull-out platform with storage.
The table has an in-built lamp with two different panels that can be changed as required. The two different panels result in two different kinds of
ambience.

The Bedside Table is such that it can be compact and closed or open to allow additional space.

The pull-out platform can accomodate a substantial amount of weight in addition to having storage inside.

The upper part of the table is a deep drawer that can easily store bedroom accessories like cushions, blankets and more.

The panels can be slid into place easily. One panel is textured glass, and when the built-in light is switched on, emits a cool glow. The second panel, consisting of georgette fabric, allows a warm yellow glow.
