The following projects are the culmination of my first semester of undergraduate architectural study at the University of Kentucky. The first project,  Courtyard House, centered around the idea of the courtyard as a place that is habitable and connects the user to the building but also to the greater site.  The second project, Garden House, took similar characteristics from the previous work while implementing is on multiple floors, with the attempt to bring of connecting with nature from the inside out. The project, taking inspiration from mA-style Architect's "Green Edge" house, used a floating façade encompassing a courtyard with glass surrounding the interior garden wall, thus creating a sense of privacy without disconnecting from nature.
