COCOON HABITAT
A habitat which is based on three values: the control of natural and environmental quality, the establishment of a comprehensive mobility and the development of a reflection on the "city of proximity" declined in all territorial levels. Flanked on three sides by green spaces, the elliptical structure clads as a stand-alone sculptural volume that gracefully spirals against the park. It's inspired by many forms found in nature - the protection of the chrysalis. This shape minimizes the external surface and therefore heat loss. The roof allows the passage of light to illuminate the center of the house and also allows the ventilation in the summer. By eliminating the traditional barriers of communication, I generated a unique spatial experience and working environment that opens a lot of great opportunities for interaction and cooperation among its users. The space will enclose the modern man and offer him an opportunity to travel thousand years back to realize that things are in fact the same.
