The carcass of the credenza is made with 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood that creates the structure and is then layered with the undulating Cherry wood slats that wrap around the sides and front doors. The slats were cut separately in 128 pieces using five different tapers and lengths that were then attached to each other and the carcass of the credenza creating the front doors and side panels

The patterns of the varying slats creates a wave-like flow in both plan and elevation that engages people approaching the furniture piece giving them a reason to interact with it and feel the movement.
