The Four Types of Lions Club Membership

Dedicated to supporting others, A Maze’n Farmyard supports such local organizations as the Eden Valley Lions Club.

The largest service club organization in the world, Lions Clubs International (LCI) allows individuals to either join an existing club or create a new club. Following are the organization’s four types of membership for existing Lions clubs:

1. Regular: These memberships are designed for individuals who wish to participate in community service and volunteer programs. To become a regular member, individuals must pay the annual dues set by their local club and LCI.

2. Family: Through this type of membership, families can participate in their local Lions Club for reduced dues. All family members must belong to the same club and live together to be eligible for this type of membership. They also must be over the age of 12 to participate in regular Lions Clubs activities.

3. Student: Open to individuals between the legal majority age and 30, student memberships provide a discount on annual dues while granting members full access to LCI’s benefits. Eligible student members must prove they are enrolled at an educational institution.

4. Leo to Lion: Current and former members of the Leo club can continue doing volunteer work through LCI as a Lion. This path to membership is only available for Leo Club participants between the legal majority age and 30 years old and offers a discount on dues.
