A little background story:
In the crucian carp world, they’ve grown tired of losing their loved ones for the sport of humans. Artaer, the main character, plays the role of a leader in this story. He is a determined and practical fish, sensitive only when it comes to brotherhood and his society. He is introverted, but shines in the position he has taken up to drive his community. Artaer’s brother, Caedmon, has a contrasting personality. He is goofy, social and doesn’t take the rebellion as seriously. This contrast comes through in their expressions and body language.
I have used tones of red and blue respectively in order to differentiate the two fish. The grey sets a basis for the family of characters. The environment is always highly vegetated and is depicted for the better part in pastel colours.
