As a new mother I was investing all of my time and effort into caring for my newborn and husband. There was nothing left for myself at the end of the day. I realized that I needed to spend time with myself. I have not painted anything in 3 years and found myself making excuses not to face the white art board. I forced myself to paint something, even if it is not great just to become me again.
This painting was the result of me investing time to myself and reflecting on this wonderful period in my life. I am happy to say that I have not lost my touch as an artist.
