This is one example of coming up with a concept and the work behind the final result.
I started with a bottle shape bottle opener and wanted to come up with a design that we could use repeatedly, while still being able to customize it.
I found this image on pixabay.com and thought it would be a perfect option for my bottle opener.
Next I created a vector outline of the bottle opener shape.
And I created a vector outline of a label for the bottle opener that I would use as a clipping mask.
I sized the bottle image so that when it got clipped, I would still be able to see the cap at the top.
The result was great and I was ready to make a label for around the bottle.
For a label, I made a rectangle with a gradient fill to mimic the light hitting the bottle.
The logo came next. I was close, but not quite finished.
The last thing I did was to add another gradient on top of the logo to add a little dimension and so that it would correspond better with the gradient on the label and on the bottle itself.
This is a virtual image of the final product.
This is a picture of the finished product.
Here is a short video of the finished bottle opener in real life.
