Inspired in traditionally forged items, of which the purpose has always been one of protecting and decorating. Condensed into a striped structure, strident and baroque as in Mexican culture.

BD Barcelona Design is the Spanish editor of furniture with the most international prestige. Founded in 1972, its catalogue features designs from the most important contemporary creators including Lluís Clotet, Oscar Tusquets, Alfredo Häberli, Jaime Hayon, Konstantin Grcic, Campana Brothers, Ross Lovegrove, Doshi Levien, Cristian Zuzunaga and Färg & Blanche, among others, as well historic names such as Gaudí and artists as Salvador Dalí. During its long existence, BD has been recognised by the Spanish Premio Nacional de Diseño (1989), the European Community Design Prize (1990) and the Red Dot Design Award ‘best of the best’ in 2011.
