Today I started box modeling my list of characters for my illustrated novel. I'm going to create simple forms and then add clothes to them after they are complete. Here is a female body I blocked in today. By the end of the month I hope to have my list complete. By George Palmer

I started another 3D model using concept art from an artist named Jimmy LO. Can you tell I really love his work! This took me about 7 hours to create over the course of several days.I still have the interior to do and some more furniture to create. Then I will reduce the triangles down and do some cleanup work. Then layout the UVs and paint the texture, that part I can't wait for! 8-) By George Palmer

I started 3D modeling using concept art from an artist named Jimmy LO. My goal in doing this was to see how close I could get from the art. I learned that you can get close but not everything will always fit as you see in the drawing. Plus I found myself changing parts to look more pleasing to the eye and for UV layout. Each building is about 5000 triangles which seems to be a little high for me. I will be reducing that number and then make 2 more lods for each building. After that I will layout the uvs and then paint the textures. Fun Fun Fun! By George Palmer

This model I'm working on is from distract 9 concept art. I started this model because the artwork looked really challenging plus I love the concept of all the guns. I pretty much finished the model in Maya and now I will be bringing this model into Zbrush and making it higher res. By George Palmer

This year in my game design class I learned how to create a terrain skin in Unity. Then import textures and layer paint them onto the geometry. I didn't create a concept for this area, I created it playing around with the tools. The textures I created myself along with the terrain. I have plans to create a game area this year to demonstrate I know how to use this section of the tool. By George Palmer
