This suitcase is designed for short-term trip and  age from 20 to 30. This young group people like to have something special and exciting. The WI-Case has the feature to easy open and close in order to save the security checking time, which makes their trip much faster and easier. Also, the weight measurement system at the back is designed for both carry-on and baggage weight, which makes user to know whether they need to pay more easily.

Although 35-54 is the biggest group among travelers, 18-34 has the most leisure trips and most potential. So my target will be people who between 20 to 30 have short-term leisure trip.

I find that they use carry-on luggage more than baggage since the airplane companies started to charge the baggage. The weight measurement becomes a problem when people start to packing. Also, when they get to the airport, the security checking line is too long to wait because the laptop take-out and liquid checking. People will love to save some time on this if the suitcase can have some function to save the time.

For the shape, I want to use simple shape to save some space of the suitcase. And since the limitation of the size, the case shape become more settled. For the weight measurement, I want to use some simple way to do that, not the technological way. So I’m inspired by the spring weight measurement in physics. For the easy-open, I use the front top to be a separated piece to get flat easy when they do checking. After all, the texture design is for young people and the surface protection.
