Ravan Chhaya
The Ravan Chhaya Shadow Theatre was presented by the Ravan Chhaya Natya Sansad Group of Orissa in eastern India. The company performed with new style figures, more sophisticated and complex in design than the simpler old style patterns, yet still featuring striking, opaque silhouettes. While the manipulation of Ravan Chhaya puppets seemed unsophisticated,the performance exerted a primal fascination.
