Legato Cafe (2015-2016)

one year of photography and sharing a cafe's life in shiraz, iran.

In the summer of 2015 a group of people who had been working in coffee communities gathered and decided to open a new cafe in shiraz.
They asked me to photograph their job from the first days of opening.

The aim was to focus on specialty coffee and introduce it to the people who were and were not friends with the bitter taste of coffee.
They wanted to change everybody's opinion about it and tell them the coffee isn't bitter...

As I started working there,I began learning about coffee and what it takes to grow from the tree, to become roasted and brought as beens to what we know as ground coffee.
From the first days of photographing this job,I was inspired by the minimal atmosphere and tried to show that in my work too.
I decided to edit photos in a way they feel like the simple and wooden decoration of the place.
