Граница - ключевое понятие истории человечества. Он отделяет мир живых от мира мертвых, известное от неизвестного, «свое» от «чужого». Но главная причина существования границ - не поиск и отделение «Другого». Это - поиск, нахождение и отделение себя самого, познание, обозначение и очерчивание собственного «Я».

В своем проекте я исследую географические линии границы города Харькова, идя вдоль них и снимая на камеру все, что встречаю на своем пути. Моя цель - физически увидеть границы моей идентичности как харьковчанки, определить ее суть, найти начало и конец, а также узнать, что лежит за ее пределами. 

Проект реализован в рамках резиденции «Мнимые идентичности. Иметь или быть?» в ЦСИ «Ермилов Центр» (Харьков, Украина) в сентябре 2017 года.

The border is the key concept of the history of mankind. It separates the world of the living from the world of the dead, known from the unknown. But the main reason for the existence of borders is not the search and separation of the «Other». It is the search, finding and separation of oneself, cognition, designation and delineation of one's own «I».
In my project, I explore the geographical lines of the border of the city of Kharkov, walking along them and taking everything I see on my way. My goal is to physically see the boundaries of my identity as Kharkiv citizen, to determine its essence, to find the beginning and end, and also to find out what lies beyond its borders.

The project was realized during the residence «Perceived Identities. To have or to be?» in the Center for Contemporary Art «Ermilov Center» (Kharkov, Ukraine) in September 2017.
