Himalayan Mule: very similar to the Himalayan wild ass only hairier. These guys are found only in Mountainous regions and some are used as beasts of Burden
Himalayan Cows/Oxes: these guys are big hairy and very similar to Yaks and can be found roaming the mountains and grazing. They are peaceful enough to approach but keep your guards up.

Himalayan Mountain Dogs: these guys are not the average stray. They're big and alert. While the smaller less hairy versions can be found in towns, the true experience can be found in the mountains. They're usually sleeping near the rest stops in the mountains. Those ones you can approach. The ones further up in the mountains are almost like wolves. They travel in packs and can be very territorial and aggressive. They're also kept as pets by farmers living in the mountains to guard their flock. The bigger and more aggressive ones are known as Himalayan Mastiffs and resemble a Tibetan Mastiff. I asked if I could get close to take a picture and was told 'approach at your own risk' so I settled for the friendlier one. But I will click that big bastard one day Inshallah
Pheya or Himalayan Marmots : these guys can be spotted while you're on your way to Pangong. They spend most of their time eating and are decent size. They're otherwise peaceful but be weary of the 'new moms' as they're protective of their kids and will charge.
Yaks: These big majestic creatures can be found high up in the mountains, peaceful grazing. Some of these beasts can be found in Pangong Lake for tourists to take pictures with them.
Himalayan Horses: these guys are also imported from Mongolia and are taller and sturdier than the average horse. The wild ones can be volatile..
Kiang or Tibetan Wild Ass: it is the largest of the wild asses and can be found  from Valleys to Mountains. Many farmers use them as beasts of burden and the wild ones are peaceful enough to approach.
Camels: These camels are not the typical Rajasthani Camels, they are imported from Mongolia and bred here. They are significantly hairier. The hair is cut during the summers. I followed this guy along with 2 more for hours and they have some pretty good shots.
Ibex : sadly very few remain in the wild and mostly reside in the deep ends of the Mountain so like the Snow Leopard for a click one has to spend at least a week in the mountains during winters. Unless of course you're lucky enough to spot one out in the open. Took this picture as a reminder to stop over hunting these massive beautiful creatures as their numbers are down to a 1000 only!
