[7 weeks, 6 cities, 4,000+ photos, 1 million memories...]
Iran has so much diversity - snow capped mountains, great landscapes and nature, good seaside, bustling cities, delicious food, friendly people, centuries of history - a heaven for a person like me and ultimately anyone who is into photography and architecture, and loves experiencing different cultures.
From the desert surrounding Kashan, to the lush gardens with pomegranate trees of Shiraz, and the vibrant food markets in Tehran, my travels have been blessed, this time as well, with the joy of meeting like-minded people. My senses have been touched by the aroma of tea and shisha as I walked through the narrow, crowded streets of Esfahan. And my heart has stopped for a second while I marvelled at the sun setting over Persepolis.
Here's a selection of the many beautiful places that i have visited, which I am happy to say have convinced two very dear friends of mine to take a roadtrip through Iran, a year after I returned home.
