Motum - A concept wheelchair

A concept electronic wheelchair aimed at improving quality of life for those with disabilities. Targeting increasing mobility and independence of the user, whilst also reducing the stigma around disabilities and wheelchair users.
Based on the concept of a rolling ball the user sits in the chair mounted on the ball which can spin in all axis. Making the wheelchair more manoeuvrable and increasing the freedom of the user.
Minimalist design combined with the poslihed aluminium and clear balls makes the product appealing to people with disabilites helping remove the stigma.
Mesh seat can be adapted to the different body shapes of users.
Three clear balls ensure the design is stable. Also giving the effect of the chair floating, adding to the sleek and minimalist feel of the design.
Movement of wheelchair is controlled by a rolling ball. Providing a simple and intutitive control system.
Iphone holder rotates and twists allowing the user to position the screen according to their preferences.
All details done in polished alumimium to provide continuity through out the design.
Hope you enjoyed the concept and liked my work. Would appreciate any feedback as this is my first published project.
