"Back To Our Roots" Timberland Co

The Timberland Company was founded in 1952 to make the classic yellow construction boot that was durable and waterproof. In the 90s, however the boot became a fashion icon worn by hip hop artists, putting Timberland in somewhat of an identity crisis being stuck between a fashion boot and a durable outdoor boot.

The Artisans are a small demographic of craftsmen who have mastered a specific trade like woodworking, glassblowing, metal work and more. They have studios or live in busy cities and love to document their process. They are busy and often juggle multiple clients and projects.

We want to bring artisans Back to Our Roots by giving them The Timberland Workshop, a utility app designed for craftsmen and craftswomen to stay on track with their projects and reach out into an exclusive community of workers in their trade.

We would launch the app through a series of web videos made by artisans, outdoor murals, custom designed leather boots, an exclusive shoebox and in-store boot displays.
