A traditional costume Spanish dress worn by female flamenco performers with a touch of contemporary style. Always brightly coloured with many layers of ruffles in the skirt & sleeves that swish around as they walk. The floral headpiece emphasizes the festiveness and elegance of flamenco style.

Fabric
Utilizing floral and brightly-coloured fabrics show a clear influence of Spanish flamenco style. 







Protoype 
The flamenco costume has adopted adornments and compliments such as lacing, flowers and hand fans. These elements were combined to produce a festive and elegant wearable 3D inspired by Spanish Culture of Flamenco. The hand fan and felt fabric flowers are all intricately hand-made - attached to a headband with styrofoam which holds its shape.
