Quite often assistive products are designed by a group of medical engineers and never from the hands of an industrial designer. They fail to address user experience and are produced in an inferior fashion in the thousands by a mass manufacturer agent. It is begging for quality industrial design and attention to detail in redefining user interaction. 

The Voronoi Food Preparation System aims to challenge existing assistive kitchen technologies for the one-handed disabled. It is the embodiment of inclusive design and sidesteps traditional manufacturing methods, supporting people with one-handed disabilities with an object that they are proud to own and use. Furthermore, this project highlights the capabilities of current cutting-edge additive manufacturing and combines low-volume handmade fabrication to produce a highly customisable, sophisticated user-friendly product.
This project perfectly merges cutting-edge additive manufacturing and traditional handcraft techniques to demonstrate the possibility of future manufacturing methods. 
The structure is made from polyamide powder and created using the latest 3D printing technology, the HP Multi-Jet Fusion printer. The outcome from this printer is 10x faster in printing speed, and half the cost when compared to existing SLS 3D printing technology. Furthermore, with its high quality and high tensile strength from the bonding material, this prototype model can be considered as an actual product for the market.

With the ability to interchange components, this food preparation system aims to provide the user to be creative with their food creation and not be hindered by their physical disadvantage.  In term of sustainability, the use of 3D printing has provided the ability to produce what it is that needed.
There are recesses on each corner of the structure to allow bread blocks to be inserted for the right handed or left handed disabled. By inserting the blocks, the user can place their slice of bread on the corner of the chopping board to spread content against the blocks.
